I have heard more and more “chicken for dinner” sayings by locals—new friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and even strangers. It is a variation of “We had chicken for dinner” or “We are having chicken for dinner tonight.”
And I want to ask, what do they mean by chicken for dinner? What chicken? How big is this chicken? Which part of the chicken? How are they cooking the chicken? What’s the recipe for this elusive chicken dinner? What are they eating the chicken with? Shouldn’t all this be clarified instead of saying “chicken for dinner”?
