Vacation = Rest

1 min read

We returned to the hotel early today because it was hot, we were tired and full, and we couldn’t keep the café hopping while vibrating at a low frequency—it reeks of desperation.

At first—at least for the first hour or so—I immediately wanted to journal, read the zine I got, or at least cull my to-do list. But then I thought to myself, why? The point of having a holiday is to actually have a holiday—to take days off from my to-do list and rest when I need to rest.

Even as I say this, I know it’s still a long stretch for me—a true work in progress that I genuinely need to work on. But let this be a reminder—for today’s me, for the younger me, and for the purest version of me:

Vacation = Rest as well.
