“I am taking you to Springvale Market”, Pri, a colleague turned friend, one of the very few who knows about the blog, told me one day. Maybe she has seen enough of my Instagram and blog posts about markets that she concluded it’s my thing. She is right, market is my thing.
Months later, in the winter, there I was, bright and bushy-eyed, standing in front of the Springvale Market, ready to be immersed.
Springvale Market market reminds me of the Cabramatta in Sydney. And it’s more Asian than the South Melbourne Market, Queen Victoria Market, and Prahran Market.
Pri showed me her favourite places, and soon after, we stopped for Pho lunch. It was easily the best Pho I had ever tasted.

My first impression of the market was that it’s more Asian than South Melbourne Market, Queen Victoria Market, and Prahran Market. It was an oriented market, like Cabramatta in Sydney.

A quick Google search revealed that there is an opportunity to do tours in Springvale Market. Meanwhile, the best way to visit Springvale Market is to do a little research beforehand and explore by yourself and discover the unique things or get a local friend to show you around, like the lucky me.
