Not Really Travel Routines We’ve Fallen Into on This Europe Trip

1 min read

Fafa and I have fallen into some not-travel routines during this trip. Here are some of my favourites:

Him getting me bed coffee. This ranges from him crashing the hotel breakfast buffet after his gym session in Tribe Amsterdam to grabbing me Starbucks during our two-night stay in Budapest.

Us hunting for skincare items together in local supermarkets—DM in Berlin or Normal in Helsinki—and getting on our haul, usually face masks, on the same night. We usually get matching ones, like today’s rose gold eye mask, which seems to be of cheap quality—we got two pairs for €2—and it keeps slipping down my face.

Him researching our next Asian food fix because I can’t go more than a couple of days without rice. We always order the spiciest dishes, repeatedly assuring the waiters that we can handle the heat—only to end up him sweating profusely or me having a runny nose.

Us winding down in bed after a full day of activities—just chilling. Me journaling, playing on my phone, or listening to the latest drama on YouTube, while he watches Netflix.
