I am typing this from inside the vintage steam train, Puffing Billy.
I am riding the oldest surviving locomotive in the world (according to the sign I read on the station) with my cousins, who, at the moment, seem to be lost in their own thoughts.
We boarded the Puffing Billy at Belgrave and spent the past half hour taking pictures of our boots dangling out of the train. I don’t know if it’s safe, but we saw other people doing it and wanted to do it too. It was so much fun!
My heart is full of joy. There is nowhere I want to be than here, with them, inside the moving Puffing Billy, observing the beautiful scenes, absorbing the crisp winter morning air.
Choo choo… all the way to Menzies Creek.
