Tell me, when was the last time you had a chocolate chip dunked into a bowl of milk? My guess must have been a long time ago. Me? I had it for the first time in my life here. Amma showed me how to do it when I was young, but young me found it disgusting. I had never been tempted, even after seeing all those OREO types of an ad on TV.
So when we came to Moustache in Auckland, after seeing a gazillion people que-ing in front of the place daily, I only ordered hot cocoa while Fafa ordered the real deal: white milk and a cookie. He offered me to try it. Knowing he wouldn’t stop before I tried, I figured I’d bite the bullet and had a small bite.
Moustache’s cookie was crunchy with lots of warm gooey chocolate chips, and the milk was cold. It was a mind-blowing combination—no other way to describe it. We ordered two more cookies and returned the next day and the day after – basically every day after we were in Auckland.
