Tiny Joys

When I was in school, my then-best friend, Xan, introduced me to the farming game Harvest Moon. I promptly fell madly in love with it. After school, I would go home, change, eat, and immediately turn on my PlayStation to farm inside the TV. I loved raising my farm animals, planting seeds, talking to the townspeople, and comparing notes with my classmates.

Who would have known that eons—and a few PlayStations versions later—I’d still be totally in love with the same game, now playing its latest version? I’m still raising farm animals, naming them after my favourite authors – Nigel and Stanley, and Tamil actors like Madhavan.
