Finally! My three best friends, I and my four thousand Baht have arrived in Krabi, Thailand. This would also be my first time in Thailand and my first day in Krabi.
This morning, I woke up feeling great in anticipation of the trip. I watched Community on my laptop while packing my luggage.
A few hours later, I boarded the plane to Thailand.
This time, we travelled with a bunch of interesting people. There were rich Indonesian aunties, a sunburned Western family, over-dressed ladies, a guy who needed attention from everyone and an Indian couple with a friend who missed the flight because they were stuck on immigration. Yes, I eavesdropped.
Krabi Thailand
Oh, I fell in love with Krabi almost immediately!
Because what’s not to like?
This small town vibrates at the same frequency as I do. Krabi has a very laid-back atmosphere, cheap and delicious food (the meal at Chuck De restaurant near the river was so yummy), non-existence traffic and great warm weather.
Maybe we all should move here?
After paying one dollar for papaya salad and four dollars for a glass of Russian White, we returned to the hotel. We stopped by the local provision store because I wanted to stock up on local products. Also, I have always been curious about other countries’ 7-Eleven or their’ equivalent.
Tomorrow afternoon we are leaving for Phi Phi island. I am not sure what’s there, but if it’s similar to Krabi, I will be just fine.
There are small towns, affordable travel, Thai food, and safe flights here.
