I went straight from work to the airport and was caught in bad traffic for 2.5 hours. Man, that was one stressful ride.
I kept thanking God that I could still make it on time. I was seated by the window beside a lady reading an interesting-looking foreign novel on the other side.
There isn’t much to report about the food on this Garuda Indonesia flight. The fish was bad.
At first, I told myself:
But what could you expect? It’s airplane food. It’s hard to keep fresh food. As a rule of thumb, from now on, I am avoiding ordering seafood meals on air these days.
But then I wonder:
Why Garuda fails to showcase one of the best things about Indonesia—the Indonesian food. They could get all the best restaurants all over Indonesia to tender to supply food for the airline. Why Garuda why?
The cake was almost good, but not enough for me to eat it again, both on air and ground.
I need to learn to take better pictures of flight food, especially if it has natural lighting. Meanwhile, the ghastly picture above was taken on the first leg of the trip to Hokkaido, Japan.
