I’m Kal, the blogger behind this blog. You know those girls who wear scrunchies, stay in their PJs, and type frantically on their laptops at the library? Well, that’s a close image of me and my life these days.
I recently moved to Singapore to study, and I dream of moving to Australia one day.
I started blogging because I discovered that one of my friends, Vi, also blogs, which I found so cool that I decided to start my own blog. Moreover, I enjoy experiencing new things (everything seems new here in Singapore), and I want to document my experiences to preserve the stories and happy memories, capturing the essence of the local culture.
I also love to write, a passion I’ve only recently realized.
My blog primarily revolves around my life, Singapore, and my thoughts. I also plan to blog about my travels once I start travelling. In fact, I’ll be going to Malacca, Malaysia, for a school excursion in November; that could be a great start.
One of my biggest life goals is not just to travel but also to experience different parts of the world and immerse myself in their diverse cultures. I aspire to live in various places for a few years before moving on to the next.
My best friend, Jik, and I have been talking about traveling to an undecided destination for what seems like forever. We dream of arriving at the airport and booking the next flight to a place that doesn’t require a visa, embracing the spontaneity of different cultures.
I enjoy eating glazed doughnuts and chicken rice, reading other people’s blogs, relishing heavy rainy days, and giving long, albeit unnecessary, speeches in front of my friends (now the blog might make a bit more sense, I suppose).
