Slow Morning Stroll through the Charming De Pijp

1 min read

We’re back in Amsterdam! This time, we’re staying in INNSiDE. The morning (our second last) started leisurely—I lingered in bed til 9 AM, savouring the luxury of doing nothing, before finally stepping out an hour later.

From Zuid (South), we hopped on a train bound for Noord (North) before randomly getting off at De Pijp.

There, we wandered with no agenda, soaking in the neighbourhood’s quirky vibe. I also started noticing and counting the Indonesian restaurants in the neighbourhood. They were abundant—silent and closed, at least until midday.

Eventually, we landed at a cozy corner café, Coffee & Coconuts. The place was Instagram-worthy, but the service was slow so we switched our order to go. As we waited, a black cat came and anointed me with its blessing — too quick for me to take a picture.

Coffee finally in hand—a velvety cortado for me, a cold brew for Fafa—we made our way to Albert Cuyp Market.
