Another day of solo travelling, being alone on the tour and another day being forced to buy the things I didn’t want to. This time it was silk and pearl).
I saw Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City (a bucket list item), the Temple of Heaven, and my absolute fave: the Summer Palace, where I wish to live.
During the entire tour, I was thankful that it was the last tour. I can’t take doing this thing again for another day. I hate doing a private tour. I couldn’t be my relaxed and chill self. Gah!!
After the tour, I arrived in Hutong and spent my evening there. I ate Chongqing beef and was introduced to my new love: a Peach Blossom Tea Latte at Starbucks.
I did more than necessary shopping; I would have bought more if I had more RMB.
I took the train back to the hotel. I was so surprised by how clean and good the station was.
