Enjoy Authentic Balinese Food in a Warung
Warung is one of the eatery places that are unique to Indonesian culture. Traditionally, it’s a small neighbourhood shop. Sometimes, they sell food, provisions, or other things. Growing up, I remember being given pocket money by Appa to Jajan (buy snacks) in the Warung Ijo a few doors down from our house.
Where: Warung Wardani or Warung Made.
Don’t Miss Out on Babi Guling (Suckling Pig) – A Must Try Balinese Delicacy
You can choose what goes into your plate and don’t skip on Sate Lilit (Balinese-style skewers).

Get Some Jajanan Pasar (snacks) in the Balinese Market for your On-the-Go Desserts

Order Nasi Goreng Room Service If You Are Up and Hungry at Odd Hours
Nothing beats the satisfaction you get from eating Indonesian nasi goreng for supper after a crazy night out or in.

Cook Your Balinese Food at Balinese Cooking Class
Where: There are plenty of cooking classes in Bali, with Ubud Cooking Class being one of the famous ones.
Get Your Spicy On With Sambal Matah
Where: almost any restaurant in Bali.
Feast on Fresh Seafood at the Beachfront Restaurant in Jimbaran
Jimbaran is famous for fresh seafood, with grilled seafood, especially fish (Ikan Bakar Jimbaran) being its’ speciality.

Speaking of seafood… Balinese-style Tuna dish is one of my go-to orders while in Bali.
Drink (Beer) Bir Bintang while Watching the Sunset by the Beach
If you drink beer, you wouldn’t want to miss Bir Bintang while in Indonesia. Best enjoyed by the beach during sunset.
