It is 8 AM here in Bali. I am sitting on our Kuta Sea View room’s terrace, writing while enjoying the rain.
We are going for breakfast soon, but Fafa hasn’t called my name for the second time.
I have been sleeping well since we arrived in Bali a few days ago. I guess it is because of the new like for the hot stone massage I have been getting every day from a nearby spa. It’s so lovely, relaxing, and rejuvenating.
Life in Bali is good, you guys!
Yesterday, we went to the same place we had breakfast on the first day: Bali Bakery. I went crazy over there for the first time after eating the chicken porridge and strawberry cheesecake. It was the best breakfast ever!
We just finished our breakfast 3 hours ago before Fafa got hungry again. So we search for authentic Bali food. First, we wanted to try Bali suckling pig, but since we were in Ubud, we decided to try Bebek Bengil.
After that, we continued walking around Ubud. I insisted on going in and out of the Ubud market. I like Ubud. It’s between Kuta, which is too crowded, and Seminyak, a bit posher. Ubud fits me. An extensive breakfast, followed by a big lunch, made me sleepy. The weather was particularly nice as well. We stopped at coffee and co as I needed my caffeine to inject. I chose the place because the store looked cute from the front. Little did I know this place has a fantastic people-watching spot upstairs.
We also went to GWK. This place’s understated! I had never heard of it until yesterday, but it’s a beautiful spot in Bali. Although, we watched the Barong dance, it wasn’t as interesting, maybe because I didn’t know the story.
Yesterday after eating more delicious Balinese food, we went souvenir shopping in Bali. I love getting something for everyone when I am on vacation, however small it is, although it will make my saving account have a minor breakdown which later will make me experience the same thing and judging by the size of the bikini I got for myself, from a cute little shop called Queen Monkey (Jik’s recommendation), soon it’s going to be diet time for both me and my bank account.
But not now, not while we are in Bali! Bali has been fun; it has been much more fun than I have ever anticipated. We had good food and new cultural experiences.
