Passing Through Vienna

1 min read

We are passing through Vienna, and I am trying to remember everything my cousins and I did when we visited a decade ago. Was it a Sachertorte I insisted on having after reading about it in a travel memoir written by an Indo-author—whose name I can’t recall right now? Not even the title of the book. I should have remembered. That book inspired me to travel, to write, and to go on my European trip.

I remember eating at a Vietnamese restaurant on our first night there. I don’t recall what we ate, but I do remember drinking sake because there’s a photo of me in a yellow beanie, holding a sake cup. The memory is so blurry and overlaps with other cities that I can’t remember much without looking at the pictures.

In Vienna, we stayed in an Airbnb, and we bought a single flower for my cousin’s birthday—or at least, I think it was her birthday.

What else did we do in Vienna? I wonder how many posts would show up if I searched for “Vienna” on the blog.
