Every day, well most days, I religiously visit Pek Kio Market.
On weekdays, after class, I go with my two classmates who live nearby (well, one of them does, and the other just likes to tag along). We alight from Bus 131, walk a bit and have lunch here. I’d go for rice and curry meal or chicken rice, and while they tend to choose Prata over rice.
On weekends, I’d wake up, brush my teeth and go straight to the chicken rice stall for a set meal that guaranteed to cure my hangover.
I learned that life is good when you are within walking distance of a market. My life is good because I am within walking distance of the Pek Kio market.
