I am off to Batam, Indonesia, for a work trip. I am typing this from the ferry, BatamFast; I ran with my life to catch it because I was super late yesterday, thanks to a night out with my Sarie and Thu. I am fighting off the seasickness and hangover—maybe I should stop writing. I am back in Singapore for another night of drinking this evening.
I am grateful I get to travel to a new place—even if it’s just Batam, even if it’s just an hour away, even if it’s via ferry, even if it’s technically in Indonesia, even if it’s for work, even if it’s just a day trip, even when the ferry trip was delayed because of my tardiness.
