You haven’t experienced rain until you experience Singapore’s heavy torrential rain. Today, after managing to avoid it for almost two years, I went to work completely drenched and had to survive the day shivering with wet clothes as my office is on the other side of the island, and there is no shopping area nearby. Also, it’s not like I could step outside with the crazy rain that lasted the whole day.
Eventually, the work day is over. I took a taxi home with an eye-watering surcharge, showered, and am now typing this to you on the internet because I can’t call my parents to complain which would end up worrying them too much.
Remind me again why did I move to Singapore?
